Professor Sinkoff
I played the part of presenting the Law and order and rallies history of group 2. Like the previous project I thoroughly enjoyed working with my classmates and listening to everyone perspectives and information on the topics. Each group was able to select their topic of choice for their project which I thought was really nice. I’m glad we chose Law and Order/ Rallies and healthcare because those are two topics that really interest me. I want to work in the healthcare field as a nurse and learning more about it though my speech class gave me plenty on insight for the near future. As for Law and order; I have plenty of information already because I love looking into new world issues arising and protests along with studying previous US justice system. Everyone in my group was very responsible and did their part and helped me with any questions that I had. I also liked how they decorate their own slides for their own topics. Group 3 was the first to present. This time, the presentations made by the groups were organized differently. Two days were provided to each group to present each subject.
Group 3 selected the topic Immigration and Racial Divide.
Despite a few mistakes on the first day, each group's presentation illustrated its topics and connected to the theme very well . They talked about
Research devoted to the topic and contributions from them. The press, historians, and any research important.American vs. world perspectives.Local and national associations and organizations involved.History/overview of the topicI discovered how racial disparities still afflict our nation and culture.
Every election, immigration is a significant issue. I believe immigration is a very important topic in the United States and ha continued to be for years. The United States is one of the countries with the largest amounts of immigrants and it’s a major topic brought up in every election in regards to what the candidate thinks of it and what to do with it moving forward.
It's crucial to have this when you live in south Florida, particularly in a place like Hialeah where about ninety seven percent of the population is made up of immigrants and their children which I am one of them to cuban parents.
One lawmaker's signature has the power to significantly alter the course of many people's lives, among other things. That’s why it’s always important to read on candidates background and proposals before voting and not just because they’re “democratic or republican”.
Group 3 was preparing to present its subject as its two-day presentation came to an end. Professor Sinkoff spoke on their presentation and helped give me overall idea on what was discussed. I knew that after they presented it was group 2’s turn which i was in. I was a bit nervous to present as I normally am but I always pull through and everything turns out great. I read out the first page of the outline which summarized the my chapter and it’s subtopics. After, the rest of my group members followed with the rest of the chapters summaries and mini terms. The outline came out beautifully thanks to Natasha our group leader. She is very hardworking and always make sure everyone plays their part in their work and understands what we’re supposed to be doing. Shortly after presenting the outline came the project. Our presentation was divided into two groups within two days. I presented the first day which was in regards to the Law and Order/ rallies topic while day 2 was for healthcare. Nadya began the presentation with her research on Law and order and rallies. She showed me that “ law and order is an organization of government officials that are in charge of keeping neighborhoods safe and crime free.” Following that Kayla spoke on American Vs world prospectives. Lester showed me plenty of associations under Law and Order like the United States department of justice and the United States department of homeland security. Then came my turn. I turned on my camera nervously and started saying what i had practiced and anticipated for so long. Luckily professor sinkoff enjoyed me talk about the history and overview of my topics and thought I did a very good job. After that came the healthcare part with the same system in order of research then perspectives then history and interviews. I’m very proud of how my group and I’s presentation came out.
After finishing our group presentation we all congratulated each other on our good work and awaited the next class’s presentation for group 1. I’m glad to be in group 2 because somehow we always get stuck being the ones to present in the middle which is perfect. If you’re first you have to worry about setting an example for the class and if you’re last you have the anticipation build up more and more until having to present. Group 1 presented their topic on Education and the Economy. Personally I found it to be very informative and well put together. You could tell they put time in effort into making the project. I found myself to be more interested in their project because of my personal relations with education. I am an after school teacher and in the future plan on maybe becoming a teacher so it was interesting hearing them speak on a topic that my effect me. Education is extremely important and always has been.
It provides stability in life and knowledge for many generations. Economics is also another extremely important topic.
America has the largest national economy and is the top trader in the world. The rise of American wealth has been significantly influenced by the process of opening global markets and boosting commerce, which was started in the United States in 1934 and constantly continued after the end of World War II. Economics affects our daily lives. We need money to do basic necessities like pay water bills to have running water for showers or cookedmeals. Group 1’s presentation had to be my favorite one and I always enjoy presenting and watching others present to expand my knowledge on current issues or topics.

Excellent reflection!
